Monday & Tuesday of last week, one of my work groups did an offsite. We did a bunch of activities aimed at preparing for next year and building our team skills. Several of us got to "choose our own torture," as one put it, and pick a team building activity for the group. And we actually had some fun.
I think we actually came back a better team. I know that sounds corny but little things like getting a group out of the office and doing goofy activities together really do help.
