Long Journey

“At first I didn’t want to hear about it, but now I just feel sorry for the poor bastard.” – the former boytoy

I began the trip on Monday. I didn’t take the direct route; there was the matter of housing for the upcoming semester to attend to. Plus, I didn’t think I needed to haul all the crap from my internship back to my parents’ small house. I finally reached home last night; three days of driving, and four days of homelessness later. I drove through Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, and I briefly entered the strange land of Nebraska for dinner with the former boytoy, providing the entertaining quote above. At least, I think it’s entertaining. I certainly hope the boyfriend thinks the same.
