Happy Turkey Day from the South!
With our very limited vacation days, this year we chose to abstain from the busiest travel day of the year and just do our own Thanksgiving. It's been a rather relaxing one.
We did start the day with a 4.2 mile turkey trot, but that was our most ambitious feat of the day. Shortly thereafter, I took up residence on the couch and have yet to move much from that location.
There was no turkey roasting in our oven today. There's one in the freezer, but nineteen pounds of turkey is a bit too much for the two of us. It's a bit too much for my entire family. Instead, the boyfriend cooked us up a pair of steaks and some cornbread casserole and we managed not to overdose on most of our food. Well, maybe slightly on the cookie dough. It was a very traditional Thanksgiving meal...
