The emergency alarm went off today at work…during a downpour. I have only seen it lightly sprinkle once before since I arrived a week and a half ago. However, thanks to the hurricanes, today it spent all day pouring. Perfect time for the fire alarm to go off, of course!
I had finally dried and warmed from my walk into the building in the morning. I was so soaked and chilly that I actually bought a cup of coffee from the café, with about half the cup full of sugar, of course. After the fire drill, I was once again dripping, so back to the café with half the office building for another cup of coffee. One good thing, I was very awake today.
