"Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans." - John Lennon
When we first moved down here, almost a year and a half ago, we felt like this was a temporary stop. We figured we'd bide our time and when the opportunity came along, we'd head back to the midwest.
Much to our surprise, we fell in love with living in North Carolina and started thinking about settling down and staying awhile...and maybe buying a house.
Even though we're only in the daydreaming stage of home buying, we decided to do a little window-shopping this weekend. We made an appointment and went to look at some houses. We had a good time and even found one that we loved. There's several things that have to happen in order for us to actually make an offer on a house, but we're starting to figure out how to make it work and hopefully sometime soon will become homeowners.

Speaking of life in North Carolina, it's seemed very full lately. This last week has included:
- aerial dance class and a dinner date afterwards with my classmate, Pretty Toes
- my first hot yoga class...the 95-105 degree heat wasn't actually as bad as expected (although not my favorite environment for practicing yoga)
- picking up our new loveseat...we now have a full mismatched living room set (my mother insisted we expand our furnishings beyond our one couch when they visited)
- our first party run...champagne makes a pretty good pre-run drink
- our regular three mile group run...my times have been steadily improving since we started running with other people
- the husband attending his first aerial class...he got to watch me slide down on my head several times and has been "making observations" about his sore hands, arms and back ever since
- prospective home window-shopping
- dinner at a new restaurant my coworkers kept talking about (for good reason)
- the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra's Magic of Christmas Concert
- a free hot yoga session...I'm kind of a workout class slut
